Transparency

Principles

• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no profile to build.
• No tracking cookies. None today, and never for advertising without your consent.
• Network-level statistics only. We keep counts about networks, never your address. The privacy policy lists every field.
• Tool inputs are not stored. What you type into a lookup or a probe answers your request and is then gone.
• A public status page. Our uptime and response times are published, including the bad days.
• A security contact. /.well-known/security.txt is published and read by a person.

Government and legal requests

We have received no request from any government, court or law-enforcement agency for user data. If we do, this section will say how many, from which jurisdiction, and what we handed over.

What we could hand over is nothing that identifies a visitor. We hold no account, no full IP address, no cookie and no record of what anyone typed into a tool. The statistics we do hold describe networks, not people, and cannot be narrowed to one visitor.

Abuse reports and blocks

We have received no abuse report. When we do, this section will record the count and the action taken. Owners of a network can ask to be excluded from the port, ping and traceroute tools at abuse@whatsmyip.fyi, and that block is applied without requiring a justification.
